Pivotlog downtime explanation

I just spoke to Bob about the downtime of Pivotlog.net, and how long it was going to take before everything was back up and operational.
The reasons of the downtime were trouble with both the mysql server and later the webserver.

The decision was made to move to another server.

Almost the entire site is now back up, but some issues still need to be fixed, before it is fully operational again.
This whole thing did not mean that the project was abandoned or anything. Just a case of unfortunate circumstances.
People are working on getting everything back on track, it takes just a little bit more time, because the person who has all access to the server is away on a businesstrip.

The Pivot team thanks you for your understanding and your patience.

Griswald is away on a business trip/business course the past few days, and he is the one who usually takes care of these things. But unfortunately the 'going up in flames' of the old server coincided with his trip, so until he's back and sorts it out, there's nothing other for me to do than bang my head against the wall. :-(

Pivotlog.net unreachable

It seems that Pivotlog.net has some issues with the webhosting... at least, the site has been unreachable for a good portion of the day now. It is unknown what has happened (we have not been in touch with Griswald, yet).

When we know more, we'll place it on this site.
